Tasman supplied an Australian university with a 3ML (mega litres) TS700 Glass Fused Thermal Energy Storage Tank for their new central energy plant. The tank uses a combination of solar and glass fused (GFS) technology to produce a reserve of chilled water to be used in the University's air conditioning system. The tank was fully internally insulated to maintain a constant temperature throughout the year.
Our TS700 Glass Fused Thermal Energy Storage Tank is linked with the existing Solar Farm and provides chilled water for 8 buildings across the campus.
The glass fused-to-steel (GFS) panels were used to provide a strong and aesthetic design that maintains the integrity of the tank while enabling it to have fluctuating water levels and a chilled water temperature.
This project highlights Tasman Tanks’ ability to undertake cutting edge technically specific projects with a variety of specifications.
